Just Because
Today I write with rhyme for no reason. I write because my reasoning makes for good seasoning. In every season, not everything needs to be serious all the time, but I write the thoughts that are sometimes hard to define, seen through a perspective that is probably not solely mine. Becoming more purposeful with your purpose is something to explore, as many say it’s worth it.
Everything doesn’t smell like roses all the time, and nothing is as it is supposed to be half the time, as we have people so conditioned to operate in the world selfishly. Sociopathic narcissism is the real enemy. These rare tendencies are paraded around as if everyone functions like that, trying to create an abnormal normalcy.
Imagine that. They don’t want to see you operate in your authenticity.
Your silence means you’ve given in and decided complacency was the best mentality. Boxes stacked all around, with some of them screaming, “Pick me.” These boxes were placed there with labels describing only one part of us so we should reject all of them consistently. Labels and titles slapped on each one, but there is no box that’s labeled multitalented, multipotentialite, or “I Don’t Subscribe to Any of That.” Everything, everywhere has everyone saying there can only be one, even though many of us can’t be compared to anyone.
Good food requires good seasoning, yet to be a good person, apparently, many need a good reason that extends beyond the reflection they see in the mirror. Maybe if we squint our eyes, step back, we can see things from their perspective a little clearer or at least be able to identify their real fear. Then at least we can whisper to ourselves, “ Ahh, I know there’s more to this story right here my dear.”
